Guitar & Ukulele Lessons

The ukulele is a great instrument for kids and adults to learn. They are fun, affordably priced and easier for kids to play than a guitar, so ukulele lessons are a great way to get started before taking guitar lessons! Our ukulele lessons start from age 5 and up.
Our guitar lessons include acoustic, electric, bass and classical guitar. Our guitar teachers teach many styles including rock, jazz, classical, pop, folk and blues. Many of our teachers actively perform in bands. Our guitar teachers have college or university music degrees so they know the proper theory and technique no matter what the student is interested in. |

Beginner students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring in CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.
Typically a student would be 8 years old before starting guitar lessons, due to their hand size, but some younger students start with a junior sized guitar. Bass guitar students generally are 10 years and older.
Our guitar lessons and ukulele lessons are all private one-on-one instruction and are offered in 30 minute and 1 hour lengths. Private lessons ensure that the student has the undivided attention of the teacher and can progress at a level suited to them, individually, to complete their musical achievements.
